12/14/06 It's getting close to Christmas and I thought that I'd do a post. Yes, I know it's been forever! While you're here, check out the new joke on the jokes page. I'm thinking about re-vamping the format of the page so that I can more easily update it and perhaps allow other people to post stuff. With all the spamming going on though I'll have to figure out a way to make it password protected. Or maybe fire will just fall from the sky and kill all the spammers for us for Christmas. That'd be cool!
03/30/06 One more day until the weekend. And I can honestly say that I'm pretty ready for it. So I've been doing a little surfing (internet only), and I found several good websites. I'm still revising my links page, but I did want to add Neowin.net because it's just that good. Check it out for tech news and cool downloads.
03/20/06 And another long, long delay between updates. But hey, someday I’ll actually have enough entries to create an archive, just not today. Seriously though, are my load times bad? If they are, then e-mail me a complaint next week. “Why next week?” you ask. Because I’m between web hosts and this entry is actually only a test of my Domain Name routing. Just something to differentiate between websites, since there are currently two identical sites on different servers. Yeah, I’m really too lazy to go back to my old server and delete the site. I’m sure they’ll get around to it when my account expires…
So, another year come and gone. I’ll get some pictures of the family up on the site one of these days. We’re up to four of us now, pretty exciting, and busy. Ok, here’s a cool link to a fun site: check out X-tremeGeek.com. If you like gadgets, then you’ll like this online store. Have fun!
01/02/05 Happy New Year! Ok, so I'm like a day late. I was on the road all day yesterday! I did find this nifty link to EarthCam though. First the bad news, the death toll in the far east due to the tsunami is now at 125,000.
And the good news is, well, the good news is that we get another year to make new years resolutions. So have at it!
05/05/04 Wow, it's already hump day, and only several more days until Mother's Day. Can you believe it? Don't forget that special woman or women in your life. And remember, grandmother's also like to hear from you on their special day. Oh, and don't forget to click my ad, even though it doesn't seem to be tallying properly...Google, I'm gonna drop you like a bad habit if your ads don't start doing something cool for me.
05/03/04 Ok, I've added ads to the website now. Maybe if enough people click on my ads then my website will pay for itself. Yeah right! Well, maybe it'll eventually pay for my new keyboard and mouse...in about five years.
05/02/04 I have to say that Logitech's new Cordless MX Duo is a really sweet setup. I have never used a better keyboard or mouse. Just make sure you don't install the Logitech software that comes with the package. By using Window's plain vanilla drivers you'll lose out on a little bit of the extra functions, but not having the headache or system slowdown of little apps running all the time will more than make up for it. Oh, and Staples was really cool about price matching the whole set down to $71.
05/01/04 Finally back from Iraq. What a great feeling that is! Now that I'm safe and sound at home with Heather and Emma I just hope that they don't want me back there anytime soon! Not a fun place. I imagine that several well placed H-Bombs, detonated at high altitude, would solve a multitude of problems in that region. Nothing like a little bit of fallout to impress upon your enemies that, yes, you really mean it.
04/26/03 Hi! This is Heather and I just posted a few new pictures with Josh's expert guidance. I am impressed by his knowledge of computers!! I will try to update the website weekly. When Josh sends me pictures they will be on here too.
04/26/03 This will be last entry for quite awhile due to the fact that I will be going out of country! Heather will be taking over for a while so please bear with her as she is just learning the nuances of HTML!
04/25/03 Yes, if you look very closely at the dates from this post and the last you will notice the change from "01" to "03". I have been a horrible slacker as far as web page updating is concerned. I guess that having to work a real job will do that to you.
I do believe that my guestbook is finally working again though. So give it a whirl and if it's still broke then e-mail me and I'll fix it sometime...
Hopefully I'm going to be teaching Heather some basic HTML so that she can post some pictures and stuff on here in my absence. By the way, I hope you like the new look. Heather said that the old one had to go!
05/23/01 I know, I know, my guestbook is broken and I'm working on getting it running again. If anyone knows anything about CGI script your help would be VERY welcome! Just e-mail me! Well, I added some more links to the links page. My boss over at the USMMA Alumni Association liked my website until he saw that I didn't even advertise the alumni page :-p
By the way, it looks like I won't be eligible to pump gas on ships when I graduate. I applied for it but the wonderfully brilliant lady down at the United States Coast facility said I didn't have the prerequisite 90 days onboard sailing on tankers. Well, I only have one thing to say to that...she's right, I HAVE 148! So there! Boy am I glad I'm going Army! ;-)
Oh, and one last thing. Apparently this page is hard to read for some folks (heck, it's hard for me to read if I haven't had three cups of coffee yet! :-) so I changed the colors up a bit. As you can see the green is much brighter now. Please let me know in the little questionnaire box whether this color scheme needs to go or if you like it better now. Thanks!
05/01/01 Happy May everyone! On a not so happy note, if you are using MSN's Messenger Service (it's kind of like Instant Messenger for Microsoft) then beware the new virus. It seems that this is the first known virus to be spread by MSN's Messenger and it's based on Visual Basic, kind of like that LOVELETTER virus that wiped out so many computers a while back. In spite of all this, be sure to keep up your sense of humor and check out the new entry on the jokes page! Have a great day, eggs
04/30/01 Anyone who has has their car towed knows just how I felt this weekend as I watched my Olds roll away strapped to the back of a tow truck. I had never really realized what a sad sight this is. It wasn't for lack of trying either. My buddy and I had the starter out and down to the auto parts store twice! I suppose that after 166 thousand miles cars do these things though.
04/26/01 Due to popular request (mainly Heather's ;-) I have finally updated the pictures page. Yes, there are eight new pictures! Also, I think I may actually take the time to add a redirect from the old page on NBCi so that people who are still going there can stop wondering why I never update my page anymore. And don't forget to sign the new guestbook!
04/25/01 I added a new guestbook. Pleas check it and let me know if it's working properly. If it isn't just drop me an e-mail and tell me so. It's getting close to both my graduation date and wedding date. Yeah! In case you're wondering what I'm going to be doing after college, I'm taking a long, hard look at the Army Corps of Engineers. If I go Army then it looks like I'll be moving off to Fort Leonard Wood, MO.
04/11/01 Hey, I just spent the last three days proving that you can't learn everything there is to know about electricity by reading a thick book for 15 hours. Darn! I had my hopes... Anyway, there's some new stuff on the jokes page. Also, if you are a techie fiend then I'm quite sure that you will enjoy ThinkGeek. They have some k3wl stuff to turn you into the pinnacle of geekiness in your community.
04/09/01 The following excerpt is from a spam e-mail that I received the other day. Read it and you will laugh!
"Drive Your Web Counter Ballistic with This "New" Information... Discovered By A Computer Illiterate Man in Massachusetts. Can Practically Hand You the Top Search Engine Positions...And Add 2,350 Hits a Day to Web Site Overnight!"
Ok, I don't claim to be a genius or anything, but pleaze don't tell me this guy is serious. This is right up there with the Muslims. In case you are unaware, Mohammed (the founder of the Muslim religion) went into a cave and wrote the Koran even though he was illiterate....yeah, right, and I have a bridge in Brooklyn I'd like to sell yah! Just gimme yo credit card! Cha-Ching! And by the way, check out the jokes page for some funny new stuff.
